Return to Kona Village 2005
Looking for a quick get-a-way, Kona Village beckoned again. The trip was filled with critters of all sorts, from crabs and geckos to sea turtles and jumping whales. Too bad the whales were to far away to capture in pictures from the shore, but what a sight!
Even an Hawaiian Santa can get in the spirit! As is typical for late fall, the surf was high. But, that didn't deter us from exploring the coast for critters or from venturing off on a helicopter tour of the island.
Rudee was very glad to see Santa in Hawaii, he was worried that he'd be out of place as a reindeer. He quickly got into the mode of mornings with coffee and a coconut cookie overlooking the beautiful sea. Spotless was glad to have company and took great delight in showing Rudee the ropes. Unfortunately, Rudee was injured during the trip and had to go to the hospital. We're pleased to report that the surgery was successful and he's back to his old self.
