The city of La Crucecita has many of the colorful traits of a stereotypical Mexican city.

The church on the city's main square, Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, is located in front of the park in the center of town. In the cupola of the church is painted a 20 meter tall image of the Virgin of Guadalupe<, which is claimed to be the largest in the world.

In shops around and near the main square, weavers follow their traditional methods of making colorful rugs.
